Every parent has this question on their mind.

"Can he sit still?"

"Will she keep up with the teacher?"

"Is my child ready to learn — or should we wait another year?"

"Will school be stressful? Will they be bullied?"

There is no one-size-fits-all answer — every child is different.
But making decisions from a parent's gut alone can feel anxious.

So we give you a visible answer.

A learning-readiness report written by our principal, who holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology — covering your child's learning readiness, focus, classroom adaptation, and developmental potential.

Common questions.

What is included in the RM 99 assessment? How is it different from a normal trial class?

A normal trial class is just play. Our assessment includes structured observation by our principal, who holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology, a 3–4 page Readiness Portrait, and a 30-minute parent debrief. It is data-driven and evidence-based — not just an experience.

If we don't enrol after the assessment, can we get the RM 99 back?

The RM 99 is the assessor's professional fee — non-refundable. But you take home the complete report, which you can share with any preschool or paediatrician. If you enrol at Sunshine Kid, the RM 99 is fully credited to your first month's fees.

Is the assessor really the principal in person?

Yes. All assessments at both branches are conducted personally by our principal, Sylvaine Ang (洪晓琪), who holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology. Not an assistant, not a part-timer. This is the core reason behind the RM 99 price.

My child is introverted / very active — will the assessment still be accurate?

The assessor observes for 1.5 hours plus a parent interview about daily routines. We don't use a 5-minute quick test. The aim of the assessment is to see your child clearly, not to label them.

What are the monthly fees?

Monthly fees depend on age band and branch. We explain the full fee structure during the 30-minute parent debrief after the assessment. We don't publish fees online because each child's plan varies slightly.

How long until I receive the report?

Within 5 working days of the assessment, both print and digital copies are delivered. The parent debrief usually takes place at report delivery.

Is my data safe?

Your and your child's data are fully protected under Malaysia's PDPA. Information is used only for communication with Sunshine Kid, enrolment follow-up and internal performance analysis, and is not sold to external parties. It is never shared with third parties.
